7D6N TAIPEI TRIP - DAY 7 (Last Day)

Last day of our Taipei Trip 15-21 June 2013.

Woke up early today to check out and took a cab to Taipei Tao Yuan International Airport to catch our flight back Singapore, feeling sad as usual.

The cab ride cost us 1000NT, but luckily the cab is just right outside the hotel, so we do not have to wait or walk out to flag for one. Comparing the bus ticket to cab fare, the difference is a whopping 800NT difference!!!

The usual blur me brought us to the wrong terminal which results in us having to drag our 2 heavy luggage and take the sky train to the right terminal for check in. Scoot's check in counter queue is real long, we queued for at least 30min before our turn to check in. They are very precise in the weight of the luggage, heng before we depart from SG, i called to add on another 10kg of return baggage, if not i wonder how much the excess baggage charge will cost... They even weigh our hand carry bag to see if it exceeds the 7kg limit. walau eh, so rigid for what huh?

Hello Kitty all over Taoyuan Airport

After checking in, we shopped a bit at the airport and had our lunch first before making our way to the gate hold room to wait for boarding, DEN COMES THE ANNOUNCEMENT, FLIGHT DELAY! nabei.... no wonder people say Scoot's flight always delay! First time flying Scoot and kana flight delay liao, delay 1 hr still ok but our flight is DELAYED FOR 3 HOURS. *(&#$*(#&$*(#@&$*(&#@*$@#!!...

I WILL NEVER TAKE SCOOT EVER AGAIN!
Previously kana flight delay when taking TIGERAIR, and i decided to boycott them.
Now Scoot...
还是 Jetstar and Airasia more reliable.

We spend the whole 3 hours of delayed time sitting at the boarding gate like some idiots.

By right our dinner should be taken when we arrive in SG one. cos of the stupid flight delay, we shall order some boring flight meals to eat cos hungry alr! Flight delay liao Scoot also dunno how to 自动 a bit give discounts on their meals.

Back in SG, end of our 7 days fun Taipei Trip.

This is my 2nd time to Taiwan, and the first time i spend so many days in Taipei, i have been to a few countries, but Taiwan is the only one that makes me feel really at home... Very cosy and comfortable. Probably due to the language they speak and well as the people there are very nice & helpful.

I do not know how to explain that feeling, but when im in Taipei, everything seems so great, the feeling i experienced is indescribable. its beyond happy. I know i will be back again soon. SOON!!!

I finally understand now why i have friends that go Taiwan every year.

Till Then....

7D6N TAIPEI TRIP - DAY 6

DAY 6 of our Taipei Trip 15-21 June 2013.

Last full day of our Taipei Trip, Had the same hearty breakfast at Yong He Soya bean before making our way to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. Took the MRT to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall station and follow the signs from there. Very easy to locate.

Sun Yat Sen Memorial hall was constructed as a memorial to Dr Sun Yat Sen, the National Father (国父)of Republic of China. In the memorial hall, there are guards guarding the statue of Dr Sun Yat Sen too. There are also displays inside the hall of Dr Sun Yat Sen's life and the revolutions he led.

After spending our morning over at Sun Yat Sen memorial Hall, reading and understanding the history of his revolutions, we left with new knowledge of China's History.

We then took the MRT to SongJiang Nanjing station to go to Miniatures Musuem of Taiwan.
Address:  台北市建國北路一段. 96. 號. B1
After exiting the MRT, turn left and walk all the way down before turning into a side road after 7-11.

Miniatures Musuem of Taiwan is started by a couple as they loved buying little cars and houses for their children when they travel for business. While in Netherlands, they discovered Miniatures art and they fell in love with it so they started making their own. They started this musuem in 1993.

The miniatures in the musuem is splendid, it attracted me so much that i wanted to buy a set and try making my own miniatures! All of them looks so real, everything is crafted with details.

Exercise Freak; see chin up bar, must pull a few times den will shuang.

After spending a few hours admiring the miniatures arts, we took the train to Taipei Main Station and went to take a look at Zhong Shan Underground shopping mall. Its a long stretch of shopping that links 2 - 3 MRT station. They have shops there selling shoes, clothes, bags and puzzles.

After Shopping at Zhong Shan underground mall, we went back to Ximending as we have a dinner reservation again at MaLa Steamboat at 6pm. Its that nice that we went twice in 7 days!

Having some chillout time at the hotel bar before going for dinner.

Everyday, the owner of this dog brings him to the bar for his cup of water while the owner drinks his coffee.
This dog is so obedient! he just sits by the owner and drink his water, one day i saw him lying by his cup of water when his owner ordered him to 'down'. when he moved slightly and spilled his cup of water on himself, he remained 'down'. Well trained dog indeed...

LOOKS SO CUTE!!!

Dinner again at Mala Steamboat.

I ate at least 10 of this cut orange

This dog is the mascot of a restaurant at Ximending.

Taking some time to watch this street performer perform his unlocking skills before heading back to our hotel to pack our luggages... leaving first thing tomorrow morning.
